Thank You Lord, Most Graciously
There are moments in the believer's life when the Spirit of the living God gets in us and gives birth to thanksgiving and holy reflection. Moments when we really comprehend how good God is and how good He has been. Not only how good He has been in general, but how good He has been to us particularly. We reflect upon how He stepped into our own situation, how when nothing else could help, His love lifted us. We ponder how in those times when we were down and could not hear anybody pray, He spoke to our hearts and lifted our burdens. Suddenly we get caught up in a flood of thankful emotions and it feels like fire shut up in our bones. During these moments of "knowing" we join with the Psalmist in giving thanks the Lord and praise to His holy name. We know that "the Lord is good; His love endures forever and His faithfulness continues through all generations." We know that He is the Source of comfort and blessings and we offer our praise and thanksgiving. We feel overwhelming gratitude because we know that regardless of how often the skies of our lives get cloudy; there are times when the skies are clear. Regardless of how often it may rain in our lives, God always gives us a break from our troubles, relief from our despair. Yes, through it all, God is good. If it had not been for the goodness and mercy of our God, we would have been gone a long time ago. Because of His love, we are not consumed. Because of His longsuffering and compassion, He has not dealt with us according to our sins. We have no right to the least of God's mercies but by His grace alone, we are able to go on. Give praises to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Blessed be the name of the Lord! Bringing Heaven to Earth: Looking for the Good Everyday I am challenged to find the good in things: world events; newspaper headlines; hometown issues; even my marriage. Of all of the Spiritual Scientist characteristics this one seems to go in and out of focus the most. The Death of God, the Mission of Modern Psychology, and Me The question, "Is God Dead?", first entered my consciousness when I was ten or eleven years old. I saw it on the cover of a Life magazine, and it's lingered in my mind ever since. God Versus the Gods Aristotle referred to happiness as the most we can achieve. Demons and gods were interchangeable in the time of Homer when people had far less institutionalized manipulation of their thoughts and soulful understandings. The Science of Enlightenment I would like to share my experience, working with the Mind Resonance Process(TM) (MRP), a new modality to achieving personal mental, emotional, physical and spiritual fulfillment, of the meaning of the term "enlightenment".MRP is a simple yet profound tool that helps an individual clear their bio-field of negativity i. Universal Thought Systems The Mind in an Advanced Thought System:The center of our Thought System, today, is believed to reside in our brain. The brain is thought to be synonymous with our mind. Spirituality: The Bottom Line Whadda ya know?Seriously. With absolute certainty, what do you know? Put aside all opinions, beliefs and theories for a moment and address this one straight question: What do you know for sure? Or, as Thoreau put it:"Let us settle ourselves, and work and wedge our feet downward through the mud and slush of opinion, and prejudice, and tradition, and delusion, and appearance, that alluvion which covers the globe. Memories Didnt Happen Have you ever experienced a traumatic event? I'm sure the answer to that question is an unequivocal yes as it appears to be embedded in the nature of the reality that we exist in.So having said that, if I ask you to focus on a particular memory of a traumatic event that you may have experienced, I think you will, without a doubt say that "it happened". Origin of Certain Thoughts (Part II) Continued from "Origin of Certain Thoughts, Part I"If you haven't experienced any near misses, you may have at least heard or read about them. When people describe their near misses, they say things such as "The bullet missed my heart by just a few inches," or "I was only a few feet away from the car that crashed into the crowd," or "Had I not turned around, I would have been killed. Allowing Joy "Ask and it shall be given" is a phrase we have all heard. I believe instead, "Ask and find yourself worthy of receiving. Eliminating the Past Most forms of psychotherapy I know either tries to help you accept the past, understand the past, learn from the past, perceive the past differently, or try to take the emotional edge of the past. In spite of all this effort to ameliorate the effects of the past it, in the end, is still inside you and you continue to identify yourself with it. Bringing Heaven to Earth: Applying Spiritual Principles Consistently Over Time I am often asked to explain what I mean by becoming a spiritual scientist - in other words, what's the science part? Because these terms are being bantered about quite liberally these days, I welcome the opportunity to clarify what for me is a simple and profound process.Becoming a spiritual scientist is a means to an end. 5 Shortcuts to a Life of Charity Charity isn't the easiest virtue to master. And with St. Failure Is Never As Painful As Regret! "I would rather regret some of my failures in life than to live my life failing to forget my regrets." GRIn other words, failing at something and getting back up is much less painful than to look back and regret not doing something (or doing something) and not being able to go back and change the outcome. Addiction and Confession ADDICTION: - There are numerous obsessions and addictions which prevent the soul from healing or achieving its potential. Father Leo Booth and John Bradshaw have written a book on religion as an addiction that I have quoted in many other books so I will present another side to the issue here. A People in Exile (Part 1) Second Isaiah, so called because his book of prophecy was affixed to Isaiah's, had the ability to interpret events in the light of the fundamental conviction that God was the supreme director of all movements of history. He spent most of his life proclaiming to his people, their deliverance and restoration. Do Unto Others Marketing We've all heard the Golden Rule, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you". Did you know that this little proverb is also found in all the world's major religions? From the New Testament we read, All things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye so to them; for this is the law and the prophets.
